Access in Action: Building an Inclusive Campus

Pre-Conference Offerings (Monday, June 8):

Mental Health First Aid for Adults Certification (12-5 PM)

• This event needs registration and is limited to the first 30 registrants only. Registrants have to be present all 5 hours to receive this certification. 
• Additional Cost: $30 per person

New Professional Session (10 AM - 12 PM and 1-3 PM)

• This split session will be a “mini boot camp” for new professionals; covering the topics that are most useful and helpful to people new to disability-related work in higher education.
• Free to NYSDSC members

Lodging:

• Contact the hotel directly to make lodging reservations and ask for the NYS Disability Services Council room block.
• Booking cost is $179 per night for NYSDSC members up to availability, through May 7th, 2026.
• Rates will be between $199 - $209 after that date. 
• There are a limited number of rooms available for Sunday June 7th (same cost) for members who wish to attend the pre-conference or arrive early for other reasons.

Meals:

• Monday, June 8 (Pre-Conference): No meals provided this day.

• Tuesday, June 9 (Day 1): Breakfast and lunch included. 

• Wednesday, June 10 (Day 2): Breakfast and lunch included. 

• Thursday, June 11 (Day 3): Breakfast and to-go lunch included. 

Presenters:

• All presenters must register for the conference.
• Create all conference material with accessibility in mind and in accordance with Title II ADA standards. 
• Send all presentations to registration@nysdsc.org with the subject line: "NYSDSC Conference Materials June 2026" no later than May 22nd, 2026.

Accommodations:

• Please notify NYSDSC of the need for any disability related accommodations, alternate format material needs, and/or dietary preferences no later than May 22nd.

Payment:

• Registration is required to attend the conference, regardless of whether you are presenting.
